Most tourists miss the little turnout on the right where this trail
begins, but it's easy to find if you know what to look for. Coming down Prospect towards
the shops you will drive past some homes. On the right is a little turnout. Park there
and you will see a hidden path and stairs. If you miss it, you can catch this trail by the
Cave Store next to the caves. Caves?!!


Look carefully and you can see people in kayaks. La Jolla is a
great place to rent a kayak to check out the mysterious Seven Caves. You can also
go on a kayak tour if you would rather have someone guide you. Look, this shot was
taken in Febuary. Not bad weather, huh?


Sights like these are easy to find in La Jolla. When vacationers
ask me what to do in La Jolla, I tell 'em to make sure to leave enough time to just SIT!
I'm thinking a nice chardonnay, a piece of cheese and some grapes, and a towel (stolen from
the hotel) sounds just about right, don't you?
